Character Background
As the rule of two states; There can only be two, one to hold the power and one to crave it. Lord Oasthouse holds that power. His apprentice, Darth Malt (known as Brewmaster Malt), craves Oasthouse’s power. This is known. It’s expected. If Malt is stronger, he will defeat Oasthouse and become the new Sith Lord. If not, he will die and Oasthouse will find a new apprentice.
To take down his fool opposition Darth Malt a keg or two, Lord Oasthouse wants to kill the Beer Scout to enshrine his own position, and to crack the remaining encryption/encodings that throwback wannabe scout applied to his last transmissions – for which access to the source gizmo is essential.
He is outright pissed that he’s had to personally scrutinize this trivial matter of down-sizing his rival on this back-water planet in this outlying arm of a rather poor and dilapidated neighborhood of a third rate galaxy – I mean, they don’t even have ultra-speed lickety-split transport vessels! – had to provide my own. Though on the plus side, getting first hand access to what purports to be a really good cup of beer is a sweet bonus.
